But the difficulty is coming

Things that make Monday morning a Monday morning

Watching the only person that I can count on getting to work later than me (and thus, still being here when I leave) walking in ten steps in front of me because she has an illegitimate carpool tag being that she is too lazy to walk her lazy arse from any parking spot further than 25 feet away from the building.

Having to spend 30 minutes on the phone with the help desk trying to remedy my password problems whilst getting reprimanded for my password not being quite up to par with the unwritten specifications of (a) consisting of more than 8 characters, (b) containing at least one numeric character within the first 8 characters, and (c) containing at least one non-alpha-numeric character within the first 8 characters, even though my password did meet these specifications because (duh!) "didn’t you know that if your non-alpha-numeric character is @, #, or _, you have to use at least two non-alpha-numeric characters consecutively within the first 8 characters?"

Having to spend said 30 minutes on the phone with the help desk prior to drinking my coffee and reading my blogs because said password problems concerned my internet password.

Having to watch the “help” desk person remote into my computer and delete all my cookies, files, and page history, and reset them to only remember cookies and page history for 1 day. ONE FREAKING DAY?! How is a girl supposed to remember that one blog she clicked on two days ago that amused her enough to maybe want to check it out again but didn’t amuse her enough to want to add it to her favorites? And why, WHY, does resetting a password require the deleting of cookies, files, and page history?

Getting yelled at for using Firefox because it is not the approved default browser and I should be using Internet Explorer for all official business because it is the approved default browser and Firefox and Netscape should only be used for personal use and not official business because again, they are not the approved default browsers. (Apparently the help desk didn’t get the memo that Internet Explorer sucks.)

Things that make me sort of happy on a Monday morning

Finding out that the annoying student government president from my college days got fired in the second episode of the Apprentice.
